I can only say “WOW!” There’s nothing like coming back from vacation to the news that ALL of the tags for The North Hill Coat Drive were taken IN ONE DAY!! I am so incredibly grateful to each one of you who have committed to providing coats for these precious children this year. Thank you!!!


I just wanted to send a quick reminder that coats are due back to Room 121 by October 15th. However, you are more than welcome (and encouraged!) to go ahead and deliver them next Sunday! Getting coats back early is a huge blessing to me and Molly as it means less chasing after missing coats as delivery time approaches. (It also means fewer reminder emails from us in your inbox, so it’s a win-win!)


Below are the details for purchasing and preparing your coat. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to ask! We want to make this process as easy as possible for you!


Coats must be new with tags (gift receipts/receipts are also encouraged!) Burlington Coat Factory and Amazon are great places to look!

The color/style note on your tag is preference only. We realize some requests such as tiger stripes, grey glitter, or rainbows and hearts may be hard to find. Just do your best! :) 

Please purchase a true winter coat (not a light jacket or fleece) unless otherwise specified on your tag. 

We would love for you to write a note to your child. This can be an encouragement for him/her, a prayer, a little about your family, or why you wanted to bless him/her with a coat. To keep the kids safe, every note will be read by a volunteer, so if you use an envelope, please don’t seal it. You can put your note in the front right pocket of the coat. 

Please attach your tag to the front zipper of your coat and zip the coat up. This makes organizing so much easier!

When you drop your coat off in room 121, please find the letter on the wall that corresponds to the letter on your tag. Place your coat under that letter. If there are already coats there, stack your coat on top.
